DISTRICT 5300

NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION DAY (NID)

INDIA TRIP 2011

Eleven Rotarians from District 5300 will be participating in the February 2011 NID in India. The group will be part of a multi-district team that will travel to the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh to meet with staff from Unicef and the World Health Organization as well as officials from the government of India to see first hand the efforts towards finally eradicating polio. The team will then be traveling to the cities of Baduan, Kashipur, Hathras, Bareilly and Bulandshahar to work with local Rotarians on the NID and the follow up immunizations.

The participants from District 5300 are PDG Gene Hernandez (Chino), DGN Sylvia Whitlock (Duarte), Jackie Carroll (Chino), John Chase (Boulder City), Ashley Chase (Boulder City Interact), Marilyn Diaz (Sierra Madre), Greg Jones (Pasadena Sunrise), John McDannel (Pasadena), Mary Ramos (West Covina), Lone Sorensen (Covina Sunrise), and Juan Carlos Zolezzi (Upland).
