districts Rotarians at club meetings and various Rotary activities. The ideal
team member candidate is someone who is a team player, outgoing, social, has a
sense of responsibility, good ambassador, good communicator, loves their

About the Exchange Visit and the Team
![]() |
Adrienne Cox is a
15-year Rotarian, having joined as a result of her experiences with the
Rotary Club of Las Vegas Southwest when fund raising to renovate a
shelter for abused and neglected children.
Rotarians volunteered their money, time and contacts, assuring a
successful campaign. Along
the way, they were kind, thoughtful, helpful and, of course, generous.
How could one decline the invitation to join with this group! Adrienne is Past
President of her Rotary Club, and has served in a leadership role in her
Club and in District 5300 since 2001.
She has gone on several Rotary International humanitarian trips,
most memorably to India for Polio National Immunization Day, during
which she also helped build a computer school and day care center in a
rural Muslim village. Other
trips included the construction of water cisterns in the Yucatan of
Southern Mexico, and staffing a medical clinic in rural Central Mexico.
She is a four-time Paul Harris Fellow. The daily
opportunities that Rotary provides to offer service above self abound in
Las Vegas. Working with the
homeless, “at risk” children, developmentally delayed people and others
provides satisfaction and balance to Adrienne’s business and family
life. Adrienne is retired
from public service, having worked in and administered both juvenile
justice and child welfare services for the greater Las Vegas community.
She began her career as a Juvenile Probation Officer, and has
worked in many capacities with families and children.
She spent a career working with families in crisis, providing
safety and stability for children, rehabilitative services for
juveniles, and protection for the community from the crimes of
delinquents. After retiring in
2004, she opened her own business, Adrienne Cox Consulting, LLC.
She provides services in community engagement, project
development and management, and conflict resolution to government,
business and non-profit entities. Adrienne was born
in Los Angeles, California, and relocated to Las Vegas before graduating
high school. Her
undergraduate degree is from University of Nevada Las Vegas, and she
earned her Masters degree in Public Administration from University of
Southern California. Adrienne is active
in the Las Vegas community in many leadership and support capacities,
including serving on the boards of UNLV, HomeAid, Silver Sky Assisted
Living, City of Henderson and Southern Nevada Regional Planning
Commission Committee on Homelessness.
She volunteers with the Three Square food bank and is a volunteer
mediator with the Neighborhood Justice Center, among other community
service activities. Adrienne is married
to Elliot Cohen, a retired pharmacist, and enjoys a wonderful
relationship with three great step kids.
She divides her time between homes in Henderson, Nevada, and
Prescott, Arizona. |

Joseph Lawrence Joseph was born in December of 1983, and grew up in

Joseph was hired as a Firefighter / Paramedic with the City of Alhambra
Fire department. In 2005 Joseph had the opportunity to be part of an
Emergency Relief Team deployed to New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. Joseph has always been an active member of his
